Benjamin concentrates his practice in the area of bankruptcy and real estate law, assisting individuals and businesses. Ben handles Chapters 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases, general creditor/debtor legal issues, and real estate matters including short sales, traditional real estate transactions, litigation, commercial landlord/tenant issues, and real estate brokerage representation.
Prior to forming Skinner Law Group, Ben represented the Arizona Association of REALTORS® for more than five and half years as a senior “Hotline Attorney”. Ben’s combination of extensive real estate experience and bankruptcy knowledge make him uniquely suited to today’s challenging economic environment.
As a real estate professional, Ben regularly conducts nonjudicial foreclosure actions on behalf of creditors on both residential and commercial properties. In addition, Ben is an Arizona Department of Real Estate approved instructor and regularly teaches continuing education courses to real estate agents on Arizona’s anti-deficiency statutes, short sales, contracts, agency and other subjects.
Ben completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Arizona State University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Benjamin is admitted to practice before Arizona State and Federal Courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association.
Ben is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA). Benjamin is an Arizona native raised in Mesa where he obtained extensive experience in the construction industry. Outside of work, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and hiking.
